This is a real collector's item! Captain Sheltie is a new kind of superhero — mild-mannered, but devoted to helping the poor, downtrodden puppies of the world. In other words, he's the kind of superhero that we all love and want to have in our lives.

This comic tells the story of Sheldon, a Champion Shetland Sheepdog, retired from the show ring, who stumbles across a Sheltie puppy (in a back alley) who is lost and very sad. Sheldon decides it's up to him to save the puppy, so he brings her back to his home and helps her find a person of her own. Realizing that he has a real talent for this kind of thing, Sheldon becomes Captain Sheltie, protector of the innocent!

We're in this for the long run, because there will be a new comic in the series once per year, just in time for the annual ASSA National specialty show. Each comic in the first issue is numbered and signed by the artist. Because the artist is becoming known in other artistic venues, there's a real chance that early issues (signed and numbered) of Captain Sheltie will be true collector's items. This comic book makes a great – and very affordable – gift for any dog lover or Sheltie enthusiast, as well as children.
